The new 64-bit driver doesn't seem to work. I installed it, but at boot-up my DAW keeps looking for the "NEW HARDWARE". I guess it doesn't matter since the 64-bit driver for my MR816CSX is also not working. Crying or Very sad

Hi Viva Las Vegas,

Are you using Cubase 4 (64bit preview) or Cubase 4 (32bit) on your 64bit Vista ?

I am using the 64-bit preview version ans will be installing C5 64 bit soon. I don't think it matters wht Cubase I am using, though, since Vista 64 cannot find the driver on boot-up.

I asked in a previous post the same question, since I can't get my CC121 and MR816 CSX to work on my Vista 64 bit operating system, no matter if i use Cubase 4 32 bit / 64 bit or the new Cubase 5 32 bit / 64 bit version.

I read somewhere that the MR816 CSX is not working under VISTA 64 bit if you have more then 4 GB of RAM installed on your computer.

It looks like the same problem may exist for both the MR16 and the CC121. Geez, I thought having over 4 gigs of RAM would be a good thing. I guess not. Rolling Eyes

Hello,

I have cc121, and it works fine with my PC.

Is there "cc121_extension_u.dll" in the following place ?

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Steinberg\Shared Components\

Best !

Hm just got it to work.

To run CC121 under Cubase 5 32 bit on my Vista 64 bit system I had to install the CC121-32 bit extension to the folder
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Steinberg\Shared Components\
To run CC121 under Cubase 5 64 bit on my Vista 64 bit system I had to copy the CC121-64 bit extension from the folder Program files (x86)\Common Files\Steinberg\Shared Components to the following folder
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Steinberg\Shared Components\

Now it works. Smile

thanks

I just received the confirmation from development that indeed the .dll mentioned above is installed into the wrong folder on Vista 64.
We are working on an update but for the time being, this has to be the workaround.
Thank you for your reports on this!
