Hi Guys

I'm using Cubase 5.5.1 on a PC

I have greated a MIDI groove from the drum plugin GURU (I drag the MIDI part from Guru into the arrange window, then MIDI>Advanced Quantize>Part to MIDI). This allows me to quantize other MIDI events to this groove when I select my custom 'Guru Quantize'.

This has worked perfectly for months under Cubase 5.

Last night I updated to Cubase 5.5.1

Since the update, I have experienced problems with my custom groove. I have re-created it from Guru again, but still experience the same problem. It's hard to explain, but here is my best shot:

The quantize seems to be one gridline behind everything. The grid within the key editor looks correct, but when I attempt to draw a note, it snaps to the gridline preceeding the one I'm trying to draw on. (as illustrated in the following screengrab - I have pasted a cursor into the picture to show where my cursor was when I drew the note).

This is further demonstrated by this: within this groove, there are two different note lengths which alternate evenly (let's say long & short). If I try to change the note length to match the quantize, it snaps to the previous gridline's length. (as shown in the following screengrab - you can see that the notelengths do not match their current position.

Further to this, if I use the line tool to draw a contstant sequence of notes, the note lengths are all wrong (their lengths correspond to the previous gridline), and as such, the groove is wrong. In the following screengrab you can see the result of using the line tool (C5) and an example of how they should look (C6).

The weird thing, is that when I move the notes manually, or select quantize, they DO snap to the gridlines. It's the note lengths and manually drawing in nots that are wrong.

Any help would be very much appreciated

I should also mention that these issues are NOT present using standard Cubase quantize options (i.e. 1/2, 1/4 etc.)
